Smoking Cigarettes – my worst habit!

Today I decided, again, to try and quit smoking. I am one of those smokers who has tried everything without success. I called 1-800-quit today and ordered my patches. This time, I think I will try and utilize the coaching within the program as well.

I ask myself, “Why did I ever start this habit?” The answer to be “cool” like my friends in junior high school. Funny, the friend you taught me to inhale cigarettes no longer smokes, lucky her! She just decided to quit one day and that was that. Wow! I wish I had that determination.

Well, no more wishing for me, I am even tired of hearing my excuses. My quit date is set for August 26th.

I thought if I take you thru this journey with me, it may help me to stay on track, so here we go.

I have many things to read about preparing to quit. I will share these with you – the ones I plan to try anyway. It’s hard to believe, but I have been smoking for 46 yrs, well, I just turned 62 yrs old a few days ago.

09/07/26 Happy Labor Day!   Well, I didn’t make it!  It feels terrible, such an addicting habit!

I need to retrain my brain…looking for options now. ☹

I loved this movie! I am a true believer of its message. Aren’t you? Think about it, if we all reached out in kindness to one person every day, that would certainly spread some good karma around,
