P A Y I T F O R W A R D …

I loved this movie!  I am a true believer of its message.   Aren’t you?

Think about it, if we all reached out in kindness to one person every day, that would certainly spread some good karma around, wouldn’t it?  Even once a month would make a difference, maybe a small dent in the “negative/bad” actions in the world, but to the person you are “paying it forward” too, to them, you just made them believe in kindness and mankind again.

It’s more than an idea; it should be a “way of life” for all of us.

Imagine reaching out with genuine kindness to someone who needs it. When they say, “Thank you,” you might simply reply, “I’m happy I could help. If I could ask one thing of you, it would be this: when you see someone else in need and you have the ability to help, please pay it forward.” It doesn’t have to be about money; it can be a simple act of humanity—carrying a bag, letting someone go ahead of you in line, opening a door, or holding it open. Small gestures like these can make a real difference. 😊

I once read an article about paying for the coffee of the person behind you, simply as an act of kindness. So, I tried it at a Starbucks drive thru. It made me feel good, and as we continued in the same direction afterward, they passed by and waved.  You might wonder, how that can be when they haven’t ordered yet – usually you are still in line waiting for your order when they are placing theirs, so you can put a limit on it if needed. 😊

I can’t even tell you the number of times I have let someone go ahead of me at a grocery store when they just have a few things compared to me, or when they look like an employee just taking a break/lunch.

These are not things we brag about doing, that takes the goodness away from the gesture. You do it because it is the right thing to do or because you believe that there is more good in the world than bad, and we just need to spread that stuff around to beat the bad.

I hope that this article makes you want to join me in this effort, as it is “the right thing to do.”

Best Regards,

Judy
